About Mark and Laurie:

Mark is the talent behind the Blue Pot name.  Mark grew up in Brookside.  Alumni of St. Peter's School, Rockhurst High School, Johnson County Community College Culinary Program and UMKC Hospitality Management Program. 

Laurie is not only Mark's business partner she is also his wife.  Laurie as well grew up in the Brookside area.  Alumni of Visitation, St. Teresa's Academy and UMKC. 

Mark has been a professional chef in the kitchens of a variety of Kansas City restaurants. His  background ranges from French fine dining to his famous homemade guacamole. The longer Blue Pot is in business, the more he appreciates that creating superb meals is a wonderful way of life.

For years Mark has served his family and friends from his Blue Pot, now he hopes to serve you.

Blue Pot Catering is a vision and a dream that was in the works for many years. Now as they pass one and a half years in business, their love for cooking good food for great people has only grown.

 In more recent years, Mark's favorite Blue Pot has occupied a cherished spot on his stove. He realized that every time he makes a special meal for his family,
it is that
 Blue Pot that he uses.
